During our research we realized that there were somethings that we would not be able to change and somethings that we would be able to implement and that would be utilized.
For our external process, we created a model from a process that already existed. We were unable to make changes to this process, but the model would be utilized to guide others through the process. We also created a template for each process that was model that shows the steps written out to guide users of the process through the model.
An internal process did not exist so our group created one that would work with the parameters given. We were able to an almost non-existent paper process to digital.
All in all this wasn't exactly what we thought we were walking into. We had started late, broken up into even smaller teams, had to utilize our team skills and our individual work skills, but it was a great project to work on that gave us a good insight to the process of grants and contracts for research projects.
